These things saith the amen, the faithful and true witness. -rev. iii. 14. 2. An expression of formal assent, concurance, or conviction. 3. The conclusion, in word or act, the end. amen', adv. and inter j. - 1. so be it: used as an expression of hearty assent or formal confession of faith, also, as the formal conclusion of prayers, etc. 2. Truly, verily. Amen' v.t. To assent to or concur in, to sanction, to say amen to, to conclude.
